Commissioned by Volume Magazine for Issue #32: Centers and Peripheries looks at the world at large through various lenses pinpointing and highlighting central nodes within a specified parameter.

We start up our computers, open our internet browser, type, hit enter and are supplied with results. We take this for granted in modern society. Have you ever stopped and wondered about how you received this search query?

It was right around the time Google started to release its top secret information about their data centres. We compiled what we were able to from google with some old maps of telecoms to put this editorial together.
